FLASH - Flying Text Effect:
1. Open a new project and click on the first frame. Add 30 frames or so to the time line.
This can be done by hitting F5 or selecting frames, right clicking and selecting insert frame.
2. Go back to frame one. Select the "Text Tool" and type out the text you wish to use.
Set the properties of the text to your needs (font, size, colour.) The properties menu should be at the bottom of the screen. If not select Window > Properties > Properties from the top menu bar.
3. Right click on the text and select "Break Apart." All the letters should now have their own box around them.
4. Ensuring all letters are still selected right click again and select "Distribute to Layers"
5. A "keyframe" needs to be inserted at the end of each later. Right click on frame 30 on each layer and select "Insert Keyframe"
6. Go back to frame one and select one of the letters, move it out of the "stage." This being the area you are working in (the white area) the off stage being the grey area.
7. Do this to all the letters trying to make it as random as possible and at different distances away from the stage. The below example looks like this:
8. Once this is done select frame one on all layers. This can be done by selecting frame 1 layer 1, holding shift and selecting frame 1 and last layer. Now right click and select "Create Motion Tween."
And you're done. Now preview your work by selecting Control > Test Movie from the top menu bar (or mac: Command + enter / win: Ctr + enter).
